  • EMMA AZON-JACOMETTI

    EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Emma came to Tasmania for “three months” in 2011, and hasn’t left yet. Adelaide-born and now Hobart-based via stints in Port Douglas, Darwin and the Gold Coast, Emma has a Bachelor of Communications, majoring in Journalism, and more than two decades of experience in the hospitality and tourism sectors, including as the Food & Beverage Manager at The Henry Jones Art Hotel and MACq 01 Hotel. She now combines her loves of food and words as Content & Communications Lead at Pax Mondo Agency, and as a frequent eater of delicious Tasmanian things.

  • AMANDA VALLIS

    PUBLISHER & DIRECTOR

Originally from the NSW Central Coast, Amanda moved to Tasmania in 2016 and began offering PR services to luxury accommodation properties around the state. The business has now grown into Pax Mondo, a full-service PR and events agency, representing some of the best businesses and brands the state has to offer. As an advocate for all things Tasmanian, a natural next step for Pax Mondo was to launch Bottom of the World, a love letter to this incredible part of the world. With over 15 years of communications and events experience, Amanda holds a Bachelor of Media & Communications (Journalism) & International Studies, and also moonlights as Food Curator for Hobart’s Dark Mofo

  • ELLIOTT NIMMO

    ART & DESIGN SUB-EDITOR

Elliott is a practicing artist and writer currently based in nipaluna/Hobart. He studied at the National Art School in Sydney, and after some time abroad, moved to Melbourne and began his career in advertising. He continued to exhibit in Melbourne and Sydney, before making the pilgrimage to London. After Covid, he decided to return to Australia and landed in lutruwita/Tasmania, where he is the Senior Copywriter at Mona.

  • BEA HARRISON

    FASHION SUB-EDITOR

Having grown up on the much smaller Dangar Island in the Hawkesbury River, NSW, Bea has taken to Tasmanian island life naturally, embracing its four seasons (often in one day) with ease. With an interest in fashion as a form of creative expression, celebrating thoughtful design and sustainable makers, Bea likes to pair Australian designers with thrifted pieces and something vintage from her mum’s wardrobe. Bea is a mother of two boys and a midwife, and spends much of her spare time op-shopping as if it’s a competitive sport.

  • Josie Rozenberg-Clarke

    CONTRIBUTOR

Originally from Newcastle via Sydney, Josie moved to Hobart in 2023 after falling in love with Tasmania during her many holidays here. Formerly the head of editorial at PEDESTRIAN.TV and editor at DOLLY magazine, she’s now enjoying a more relaxed life as a freelancer writing all about her new adopted home – from Tassie’s best hikes and national parks, to chic stays and delicious foodie discoveries. Writing aside, Josie is the co-host of history/comedy podcast All Aussie Hour, a loyal GWS Giants AFL member, and mum to a four-year-old daughter (and two cats).
