    Emma came to Tasmania for “three months” in 2011, and hasn’t left yet. Adelaide-born and now Hobart-based via stints in Port Douglas, Darwin and the Gold Coast, Emma has a Bachelor of Communications, majoring in Journalism, and more than two decades of experience in the hospitality and tourism sectors, including as the Food & Beverage Manager at The Henry Jones Art Hotel and MACq 01 Hotel. She now combines her loves of food and words as Content & Communications Lead at Pax Mondo Agency, and as a frequent eater of delicious Tasmanian things.

    Originally from the NSW Central Coast, Amanda moved to Tasmania in 2016 and began offering PR services to luxury accommodation properties around the state. The business has now grown into Pax Mondo, a full-service PR and events agency, representing some of the best businesses and brands the state has to offer. As an advocate for all things Tasmanian, a natural next step for Pax Mondo was to launch Bottom of the World, a love letter to this incredible part of the world. With over 15 years of communications and events experience, Amanda holds a Bachelor of Media & Communications (Journalism) & International Studies, and also moonlights as Food Curator for Hobart’s Dark Mofo.

    SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

    Lara is a multidisciplinary creative working across styling, design, and digital content. With a background in graphic design and a certification in fashion styling from FIT in New York, she combines a practical eye for detail with a thoughtful approach to how people and brands express themselves. After working in digital roles across Melbourne, Perth, and Tasmania, Lara returned home to Nipaluna/Hobart with a renewed focus on simple, considered design. She now offers content creation, creative direction and social media assistance with Bottom of the World.

    DESIGN LEAD

    Fran completed her studies in Applied and Interior Design while working on high-end architectural residential projects with multi-award-winning building company, In2Construction, during which time she was recognised as runner-up for Design Student of the Year at the Diemen Design Awards, and took out the Emerging Talent Award at the National Association of Women in Construction Awards. At Pax Mondo and Bottom of the World, Fran turns her hand to creative and practical tasks alike to help us tell the Tasmanian story.

    MARKETING LEAD & ACCOUNT DIRECTOR, PAX MONDO

    Since graduating with a Bachelor of Marketing & Management, Georgie has gone on to work in a number of senior marketing and business development roles in Tasmania, including with regional tourism organisation West by North West, adventure tourism brand Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails, and NRMA’s Tasmanian accommodation portfolio. Georgie is a Director on the West by North West board, and has brought her passion for amplifying great brands and experiences to Pax Mondo and Bottom of the World since 2023.

    EVENTS LEAD & ACCOUNT DIRECTOR, PAX MONDO

    With a background in hospitality and restaurant management, Laura's extensive experience in food and beverage operations, collaboration and stakeholder management allows her to deliver strong publicity outcomes for a number of Pax Mondo’s award-winning restaurant clients, as well as to contribute culturally relevant Tasmanian content to Bottom of the World. Along with account management, Laura brings her expertise in event management to overseeing the curation and delivery of Pax Mondo's event projectss.
